Well, that was fun…
Now that 2025 is well and truly in the rear-view– metaphorically and literally, for me– I thought I’d post a little wrap up.
I published 2 full series: The O’Leary Brothers of the Delta O Ranch in the Slow River Valley Ranches series. (Four more ranches to go!) And the Moonshine Ridge Lumberjacks, just a fun revisit to Moonshine Ridge but it spawned the WIP, Rogue Ops series.
I participated in my first multi-author collaboration adding Christmas with his Fake Fiance to the Christmas in Hope Peak series.
A total of twelve new books added to my catalogue– all set in the Moonshine Ridge universe.
2025’s travels took me and the hobo house on a long-overdue tour of the Pacific Northwest, finishing books in three states: Oregon, Idaho, and Washington– before circling back down and adding Oregon to the list again.
I also wrote books in my home state of Nevada.
I camped by rivers, slept to the sounds of waves crashing on the beach in oceanside campgrounds, saw lots of stars, several deer– but not a single Bigfoot. (Or bear, which I was surprised by.)
Spent time with the BFF, tiled a bathroom and a half, and spent $75 at a coin-operated car wash in Boise to power-wash a Mormon Cricket massacre off the rig. (I’m still having nightmares.)
I ate a lot of ice cream and all things huckleberry to be found.
Not a bad year, over all, now that I’m looking back on it… through the eyes of selective memory. Because, let’s face it– on a collective level, 2025 was objectively rather lousy.
I’m swapping out calendars with high hopes and big plans.
